Lawyers are prohibited from representing conflicting interests due to professional regulations (§ 43a (4) BRAO). Before accepting a mandate, it is therefore always checked whether a conflict of interest exists

Dispute resolution centres at the bar associations
In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, there is the possibility of out-of-court dispute resolution at the Berlin Bar Association in accordance with § 73 (2) No. 3 BRAO in conjunction with § 73 (5) BRAO. § § 73 (5) BRAO or at the arbitration centre of the legal profession at the Federal Bar Association pursuant to § 191f BRAO.
